Vein Treatment for great looking legs
- Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to reduce or eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Spider veins are those tiny purple and red blood vessels found commonly on the thighs or lower legs of women. Occasionally they also appear on the face. Vericose veins are larger and appear with a blush color and can become quite painful.
- Sclerotherapy treatment was developed in 1920s. The procedure involves injecting a sclerosing solution into the vein through a micro-needle. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to blanch (turn white), then gradually disappear.
- After sclerotherapy, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although occasionally it may take up to a month to see the full results. In some instances, several sclerotherapy treatments may be needed.
